Phase 01: Setup Guide
Steam Check
Most users already have Steam. If you don't, it's the gateway to VRChat. Create an account and install the client to begin.
Get SteamCreate VRChat Account
Crucial: Create a native VRChat account first. This ensures you can join groups, save favorites, and use the full range of HEIST features.
Register AccountInstall VRChat
Download VRChat for free via Steam. Once installed, log in using your new VRChat account credentials.
Install VRChatJoin HEIST Group
Join our official VRChat group. This is how you'll find our private event instances and get notifications when we go live.
Join GroupPhase 02: Joining the Event
Open your Menu
Press Escape (Desktop) or the menu button on your VR controller to bring up the Quick Menu.
Navigate to Groups
Select the 'Groups' icon on the sidebar navigation to see your active community groups.
Check Group Activity
Select the HEIST group and check the 'Group Activity' section for any active instances.
Join Instance
If an event is live, you will see a 'Join' button. Click it to fly into the cargo plane.

Limit Avatar Size: Set 'Maximum Avatar Download Size' to 50MB in your VRChat settings.

Avatar Hiding: Use 'Avatar Hiding by Distance' to maintain high FPS in crowded instances.

Safety Settings: Set your safety level to 'Normal' to hide complex shaders from non-friends.
